Otolaryngology and head-and-neck surgery is a branch of medicine specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases associated with the ear, nose, and neck.

The Department of Otolaryngology and Head-and-Neck Surgery diagnoses and treats hearing loss, tinnitus, dizziness, facial nerve paralysis, otitis media, rhinoplasty, snoring, allergic rhinitis, paranasal sinusitis (empyema), head and neck tumor, thyroid cancer, voice disorders, and other various laryngopharynx diseases.

Five professors, residents, nurses, and examination unit staff of the Chung-Ang University Hospital Department of Otolaryngology and Head-and-Neck Surgery provide medical care services and conduct research and education regarding the ear, nose, and neck based on hi-tech systems. The Department of Otolaryngology and Head-and-Neck Surgery is subdivided otology, rhinology, and head-and-neck surgery, with each subdivision operating their own specialized clinics.

Otology consists of hearing loss clinic and dizziness clinic. Rhinology operates the rhinoplasty clinic and snoring (sleep apnea syndrome) clinic. Lastly, head-and-neck surgery has a voice clinic and a head and neck tumor clinic.

Using the latest examination equipment and facilities such as hearing test unit, vestibular function test unit, and voice test unit, our specialized clinics are making efforts to provide the best treatment services based on more accurate diagnosis and advanced medical expertise.
