Laboratory Medicine

The Department of Laboratory Medicine performs the early detection of diseases, prognosis determination, assessment of risk factors of diseases, and determination of treatment effects by conducting biochemical, haematological, immunologic, urine microscopic, nuclear medical, and cytogenetic examinations with blood, urine, body fluid, etc.

For safe blood transfusion, the blood bank takes care of the supply of blood and deals with various relevant tests, blood donation, and apheresis. We are doing our best to provide the best-quality medical service by utilizing our advanced medical expertise and technology.

Laboratory Information System (LIS)

The Department of Laboratory Medicine provides examination results as soon as possible based on its Laboratory Information System (LIS).

User-friendly master management (flexibility)

User verification reports of Delta, Panic, Critical value, CRR, and AMR check for abnormal finding reporting
Automatic one-step reexamination and reexamination accept function regarding abnormal findings
Registration of related tests on the master to enable lookup and reading on one screen

Lookup of patient information, test results, and time by stage and calculation of reexamination rates based on the reexamination result list
Lookup of patient information, test results before and after modification, and time and calculation of modification rates based on the modification result list
Monitoring of time required for testing and work analysis by stage (pre-analysis, analysis, and post-analysis stages) based on the TAT program
Numeric and text-based quality control, equipment correlation verification, and quality control statistics based on the quality control program

Quality Assurance

To provide accurate results swiftly through strict quality assurance, we acquire domestic and overseas certifications (see below) two to five times a year. In addition, our overall quality assurance activities such as test results, laboratory environment, and safety are evaluated every two years through direct inspection. We have been regarded as an excellent authorized laboratory both at home and abroad, as proven by outstanding evaluation results.
